Commitment to Quality

At Alpine Mold, quality is the foundation of every mold we design and every plastic part we produce. For over 20 years, we have specialized in precision injection mold manufacturing and injection molding services, helping global customers achieve stable, reliable, and cost-effective production. Our mission is simple: deliver zero-defect molds and parts, on time, every time.

Alpine Mold's Manufacturing Standards

As a global injection molding company, we apply measurable controls across design, tooling, molding, and inspection—with clear Owners for every step. The table below summarizes our manufacturing standards for injection molds and custom plastic parts.

Quality Control Throughout the Process

At Alpine Mold, we know that consistent quality does not happen by chance—it is the result of strict control at every stage of production. From raw material intake to final shipment, our injection mold manufacturing and injection molding service follows a robust quality assurance system to guarantee precision, reliability, and full traceability.

Incoming Material Inspection

High-quality materials are the foundation of durable molds and stable molded parts. During material intake, we verify:
  • Mold Steel – chemical composition, hardness, and certifications (e.g., S136,P20, , NAK80,718, 738,718H, 738H, S136H,etc) are checked before machining.
  • Plastic Resins – appearance and purity of granules, melt flow index, moisture content, and supplier certifications (RoHS, REACH, MSDS).

We only source mold steel and plastic resins from trusted international suppliers such as ASSAB, LKM, BASF, SABIC, and Covestro, ensuring consistent quality and full material traceability.

In-Process Inspection

This stage is the core of our quality control system, covering both plastic mold manufacturing and injection molding.

Mold Manufacturing Checks

After the customer confirms the 3D mold design, we begin mold manufacturing.
  • Dimensional verification of cores, cavities, and inserts using CMM and projectors.
  • CMM report for electrode/ steel
  • Hardness testing of tool steel after heat treatment.
  • Mold assembly validation: alignment, cooling circuits, ejector systems, and moving mechanisms.

Injection Molding Checks

Once the customer approves the samples, mass production begins. During production, our QC team conducts in-process inspections every two hours.
  • Focusing on key aspects including dimensions, appearance, and functionality.
  • Additional checks for flow marks, sink marks, warpage, and surface defects.
  • Functional validation: assembly fit, strength, and usability.

Our inspection equipment includes ZEISS CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), hardness testers, calipers, micrometers, and optical projectors. Combined with SOPs, QC drawings, and SPC (Statistical Process Control), these measures ensure accuracy, stability, and defect prevention across all custom molded plastic parts.

Final Product Inspection

Before delivery, both molds and plastic parts undergo comprehensive final inspections:

Mold Inspection

  • Test shots conducted and mold trial reports generated.
  • Cooling and leakage tests performed to verify stability.
  • Final functional checks, including ejection system, sliders, and hot runner balance.
  • Surface protection applied with anti-rust oil/paint, ensuring steel components remain corrosion-free during transit.
  • Mold packaging with a custom wooden crate, internal support, and moisture-proof wrapping to guarantee safe international shipment.

Plastic Parts Inspection

  • Appearance: free of flash, sink marks, scratches, or color deviations.
  • Dimensions: conform to technical drawings and GD&T requirements.
  • Functionality: assembly fit tests, insertion/extraction force, and durability testing.
  • Packaging: verified against customer specifications to ensure safe delivery without damage or contamination.

For customers with strict requirements, we perform AQL-based sampling inspections to ensure only qualified products are shipped.

Traceability Management

Mold Traceability

  • Mold ID & Build History – every mold has a unique ID linked to its design version, machining history, and maintenance records.
  • Steel Certificates & CMM Reports – chemical composition, hardness records, and CMM reports for electrodes and steel components.
  • Weekly Mold Progress Report – customers receive detailed weekly updates with photos and key milestones to track tooling status before delivery.
  • Trial Mold Parameters & Video – full trial data and video evidence provided for transparency during mold validation.
  • T1 Samples Inspection Report – a comprehensive dimensional and appearance inspection of first-shot samples, performed before mold export. This ensures the mold produces plastic parts that fully meet customer requirements prior to shipment.

Plastic Parts Traceability

Raw Materials – resin lot numbers, supplier certificates (RoHS, REACH, MSDS) and full traceability from source to batch.
Production Records – batch numbers, machine parameters, and operator logs.
In-Process & Final Inspections – dimensional and functional reports linked to each batch.
Customer Approval – T1 Samples Inspection Report, trial molding parameters, and video evidence for verification.
Final Shipment – a comprehensive Inspection Report before Shipment guarantees conformance before delivery.

This allows every injection mold and every batch of custom molded plastic parts to be traced back to its origin. In the rare case of an issue, we can quickly perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions—minimizing risk and giving customers total confidence.

In-House Inspection Equipment

we verify every plastic mold tooling and injection part with in-house inspection equipment for dimensional, cosmetic, and material accuracy. Below are the core instruments we use to ensure repeatable results and full traceability.
