Project challenge for Automotive Injection Mold
1. The customer has higher requirements for the durability and stability of vehicle roof, which brings greater challenges to the mold structure design of the auto sunroof frame.
2. They need this automotive injection mold to manufacture such a big sunroof cover. It is a big challenge to control the deformation.

1. Adopted 5 hot valves
The mold design for plastic auto roof cover adopted 5 hot valves. It has two advantages:
1) : It can control the injection gate sequence of each nozzle, solving the problem of the melt line in the injection molding production and increasing impact resistance and durability of plastic parts.
2) :The area of injection gate is smooth without post processing in cutting injection gate, which can avoid products with defects in the injection gate.
2. Independent cooling system
The cooling system is designed separately for the hot runner used in the mold and the main runner in contact with the injection molding machine nozzle; This independent cooling system can ensure the stability of the automobile roof housing manufacturing.
3. Pre-deformation Analysis
The vehicle roof parts produced by injection molding may be deformed due to the excessive size and the PP+30%GF material.We need do a pre-deformation analysis.
During mold design, the deformation in the opposite direction is corrected to ensure that the shape produced fully conforms to the product design.
