Customer background


The client is from Germany. His company is a global manufacturer of medical diagnostic products and services. The customer need us manufacture blood glucose analyzer covers according to his part design drawings. The product we made consists of the bottom cover, door shell and top covers. This product is a fully automated desktop point-of-care analyzer. It is used to monitor and manage diabetes in point-of-care settings such as diabetes clinics and doctors’ surgeries.



Customer Requirement


1. Electrical resistance between 2 points on the surface is less than 2 ohms.

2. The Lens need to use hardened PC material, so the abrasion resistance and optical quality can be guaranteed.  

3. Different colors are available for door part. It also need suitable metal inserts be placed at the positions.

How to serve?


1.Conductive Coatings for Blood Glucose Analyzer Enclosures


This product need Electrical resistance between 2 points on the surface is less than 2 ohms. But plastics are electrical insulators, which easily allow EMI or RFI waves to penetrate the substrate, conductive coatings, i.e. conductive paints, pick up the slack where plastic alone would allow failure of your hardened enclosure. It becomes imperative, therefore, to consider conductive coatings when using ABS. Our engineer team came together to discuss how to make EMI resistance less than 2 Ohm, how to optimize the production process, and reduce the probability of scrap risk.

2. The Top Shell use Hardened PC Material


One of the top shells is PC lens. This hardened PC material is commonly known as bulletproof glass. It is wear-resistant, scratch-resistant and has good light transmission performance. Its refractive index is 1.587, and the light transmission ratio can reach 85%~90%. We produce this lens cover with hardened PC material, good transparency can be achieved, and customer feedback is also very good.

3.Three Colors and Insert Molding for Door Part


Alpine Mold can customize different colors for our customers' products. For this door cover, we provided the customer with three colors, red, creamy and white, which can make door cover and top cover achieve color consistency. Besides, Alpine Mold placed a metal insert at the back door part. The Metal insert help reinforce the properties of the plastic and ensure reliable fastening over repeated use of the part.
