1. The customer required exceptional durability and stability for the vehicle roof, creating significant challenges in the mold structure design of the automotive sunroof frame.

A separately designed cooling system manages the hot runner and the main runner contacting the injection molding machine nozzle. This ensures stable manufacturing of the vehicle roof housing.
2. Adoption of 5 Hot Valves
The mold design for the plastic vehicle roof cover incorporated 5 hot valves, offering two key advantages:
Precise control of injection gate sequence for each nozzle, effectively eliminating melt lines and enhancing the impact resistance and durability of the plastic parts.
Smooth injection gate areas that require no post-processing, preventing defects commonly caused by gate trimming.
Given the large size and PP+30%GF material, vehicle roof parts are prone to deformation. We performed a pre-deformation analysis during mold design, applying corrections to counteract deformation and ensure the final product matches design specifications.
